Vision Statement

A vision statement is a declaration of what an organisation wants to be. It is different to a mission statement, which talks about what an organisation does. An organisation’s vision statement therefore is a shorthand description of how an organisation sees itself in its role as a business entity. Vision statements therefore are candid, honest, concise and sincere. They convey a sense of an organisation’s core values, spirit, drive and enthusiasm. The Kings & Queens Medical University & Teaching

Organisational Management and Corporate Structure
While the Kings & Queens Medical International Group will follow a traditional hospital and teaching institution management hierarchy, it will also apply a practical matrix management system befitting a modern dynamic organisation. The organisational management structure of the Company therefore will simply reflect the fact that this will not be a complex organisation to manage.

Staff required
Given the nature and scope of the functional activities to be undertaken by the hospital, it is anticipated that staff as set out in Table 6 below will be required. The requirement is for 736 staff. Not all staff will be required at the commencement of commercial operations of course, but will be appointed as and when required, subject always to there being cash flows generated to cover the employment costs involved.

Kings & Queens Medical International Group accepts that it has a primary responsibility to train and retain staff, equip them with modern health care technologies and practices and patient care skills. The ultimate objective of course is to achieve excellence in health care activities in accordance with the Company’s Mission Statement. Within that context, Kings & Queens Medical International Group will take positive action to ensure that staff have safe, efficient and effective working conditions, a necessary component in ensuring a peaceful and harmonious working environment that is conducive to the attainment of shared team goals. An integral component in that concept will be to ensure that staff are paid commensurate rewards, attractive incentives and allowances.

Staff Management
a. industrial relations/employee relations policies
The industrial relations/employee relations policies to be implemented by Kings & Queens Medical International Group will be based on flexible managerial concepts that will provide a framework for a positive team work ethic. These concepts will be applied interactively with a constructive and practical devolution of decision-making ability so that team members individually will have participatory status in the team's success and public recognition.

In that respect Kings & Queens Medical International Group will encourage team members’ participation in feedback reviews of the team’s work to ensure that the team meets both the patient-relationships and the management standards set by the Hospital’s business objectives, thus ensuring that commercial business plans are carried out on time, within budget, and in conformity with pre-determined performance outcomes.

Put another way, the establishment of high standards of patient-relationships requires a genuine commitment by people. People are the most important assets that an organisation has and their effective management is the key to success. That is, it is people in organisations who hold the key to productivity, because in the ultimate, it is people who determine the effectiveness with which policy and operational goals are achieved and the full potential of the organisation can be realised.

b. general conditions of employment
The employment of staff will be formalised either through an exchange of letters in the case of managerial, executive and professional staff or applied in conformity with the terms of the appropriate industrial award for the class of work being performed.
